The Wyoming Universal Service Fund (WUSF) was authorized by the Wyoming Telecommunicatins Act of 1995. The purpose of the WUSF is to assist local exchange carries providing essential telephone services in areas of Wyoming to customers who must pay relatively high rates for such services. The WUSF is part of the Wyoming Public Service Commission (WPSC).

May 3, 2013 - The Wyoming Public Service Commission has established the Wyoming Universal Service Fund assessment level,
on an interim basis, to be effective for the twelve-month period beginning July 1, 2013
